Ted Hooper
brings to our clients more than twenty-five
years experience with manufacturing and high-tech
companies. He has extensive experience in general
management, marketing, sales, finance, IT, and
operations with domestic and European-based
multinationals selling industrial products to
Fortune 500 companies.
Ted started
his career as a software technologist and then
did a leveraged acquisition of a private manufacturing
company. After tripling its sales and selling
the company, he has worked primarily with European
corporations expanding and improving their operations
in North America. This has included the startup
of new divisions, sales channel development,
M&A's, reorganizations, and turnarounds,
with the main focus on strategy implementation,
organization development and automating internal
processes.
Ted has
also served as CIO and CTO for emerging and
start-up companies. He has led software development
teams and implemented ERP, CRM, and Finance
systems. His most recent assignment was leading
a major merger and restructuring for a foreign
multinational in North America that included
the relocation of manufacturing to Mexico and
the roll-out of a global IT strategy, as well
as serving on a steering committee for eCommerce
deployment.
His formal
education includes a BS in Mathematics from
McGill University and an MBA from the Harvard
Business School. He recently attended the CIO
Academy, sponsored by the University of South
Carolina.
