Clem Confessore
brings to ITF over 40 years broad experience
in management, engineering, operations and marketing
in the consumer products, computer hardware,
industrial products, test/measurement, automotive,
aerospace, nuclear and ordnance industries.
The most recent 20 years of his work has been
significantly focused on the concepts and practices
of Continuous Improvement.
Starting
as a Manufacturing Engineer at Combustion Engineering’s
Nuclear Division (ABB), he has headed up Timex’s
New Product Start-up Group with over 400 engineers
and technicians where he had multi-national
responsibility in a 35,000-person organization.
He has been Corporate VP Operations for 10 years
at: Mid-South Industries, a 2,000 person contract
manufacturer for home appliances, automobile,
ordnance; office equipment and computer industries;
RasterOps, the pioneer in 24 bit and 32 bit
color graphics for the desktop; and LeCroy (LCRY)
a manufacturer of test & measurement equipment
used to win 8 Nobel Prizes. Mr. Confessore has
been Group President - Aerospace & Nuclear
for 5 years at Jarvis and CEO for 7 years of
High Standard a manufacturer of firearms. He
has led organizations awarded both the IBM Corporate
Quality Performance Award as well as the Xerox
Corporate Quality Award.
After 18
years of learning and implementing Lean Sigma
skills, Mr. Confessore joined the Corporate
Danaher Business System Office (DBSO). Danaher
Corporation (DHR) is recognized by key Lean
luminaries as the genesis U.S. Company in Lean
Conversion. DBSO Mission is to provide thought
leadership, benchmarking, Associate Lean Sigma
development, and improvement methods to drive
corporate-wide advancement of Lean Sigma culture,
strategy, business processes, and tools.
Mr. Confessore
is a passionate Lean Sigma Mentor/Facilitator
and is an expert in Strategy Deployment, Value
Stream Mapping, Lean Production and Variation
Reduction. Tutored by many of the pioneers in
Japan as well as this country, including Shingijutsu,
he has in turn guided Lean Sigma conversions
at over 30 sites.

relentlessly pursuing the elimination of waste
on the factory floor and in the office through
Lean Sigma, resulting in stunning improvements
in quality, delivery, cost and growth.

Mr. Confessore
received his BSME from Norwich University and
his MBA from Southwest University. He serves
on the Norwich University Board of Fellows and
received the Norwich University Outstanding
Alumnus Award (two recipients each year out
of many thousands of alumni).
